This year’s annual dinner dance was held at the 5 Star Oulton Hall Hotel near Leeds. By moving to Oulton Hall we put the ‘Grandeur’ and ‘Splendour’ back into our main attraction of the year without breaking the bank! 242 attended,

LATEST GENERATION OF BOTTERO IS MACHINE WITH E MOC

A visit has been arranged to see the latest generation of IS Machine from the Italian manufacturer BOTTERO.The machine is an 8 section 4 ¼” DG and features Servo invert, Servo takeout, proportional valves and the new mould open and close mechanism.
There will be a limit of 20 places and these will be issued on a strictly first come first served basis. Please note that sensible footwear must be worn for the site visit. Trainers will not be allowed on site.

Was a great success with approx 165 attendees, who enjoyed the banter provided by Bobby Knutt, an excellent meal, and dancing during the evening. Mr Ian Robertson was presented with his certificate of fellowship.

VISIT TO CORUS STEELWORKS
BRIGG ROAD, SCUNTHORPE

We will be visiting various parts of the Corus plant including Coke Ovens, Iron Ore Stockyard, Blending Bed, Bos Plant, Concast and Mill. The plant is very large and we have to use a coach to move around the various parts of the site. We will, therefore, also be using the coach to travel from Sheffield starting at Meadowhall Station Forecourt at 1.45pm, proceed to pick up from Doncaster Lakeside at 2.15pm and then travel on to Scunthorpe.
The cost of the visit will be £12.00 per person
